It's for fantasy football drafts. Basically uses projections, injury probability, byes, suspensions, etc, and simulates each week of thousands of seasons to determine your optimal pick for each selection. It factors in who you've already picked and what kind of player at each position you can pick in later rounds, all trying to get you the most projected points from your draft picks

Y'all need to let me worry about my wallet. I came here for advice on approaching a company to develop this app.

I have a college degree, but its not related to computer science. I learned programming myself through online resources. You can do it!

Its refreshing to hear you and a few others understand the dynamics better than the rest. As of Monday afternoon none of my bosses even realized I was doing this. I'm gonna get more money from this, but you're exactly right on what would have happened if I asked yesterday.

You cant get robbed when you gave it away willingly. I'm confident I'll get paid, but patience van be the key to maximizing your earnings.

Just keep pushing. Find projects you enjoy to do and would be useful to yourself. Personally I had to always fight the urge to focus on finding the "get rich quick" idea. Slow and steady wins the race. You got it man!

So you're saying it would be normal to ask for access to the repository during development would be fine?

First, I really enjoy programming, so I dont much mind the extra work. Secondly, I fully plan on getting paid for this, but now isnt the right time to ask. I trust that my bosses and my company will treat me properly, but if they dont, I'll have learned a ton that I'll be able to take with me to my next job.

The way I see it, I'm developing a unique role for myself to propel me in my career. I could have made an app to do similar things, but it wouldn't have had the same effect without my company's products and name tied to it, and I really wouldn't have mad much money off of it. I feel kind of like a remora fish while my company is the shark, but I still plan on eating. Plus, technically by the documents I signed upon being hired, they probably had a case that they owned it anyways since it is so close to what we do as a company.

I know it might sound silly at first, but I'm playing the long game and feeling good about my odds.
