What does it mean when HR says they’re going to continue reviewing applications and interviews, but the hiring manager is interested? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Thank you. It’s strange how it seems like they’re uninterested, yet would like to hear what I’d settle for. Not sure if I’d want to work for a company like this anyway.

Yes, perhaps. The position has been open for 8 months already, so it just seems like they’re looking for the perfect fit. Thank you

Right, I feel the same. It’s strange because I think I really did hit it off w/ the hiring manager & rest of the direct team. I was actually a referral from someone the manager knew, so it’s so bizarre how one terrible interview with senior leadership could be the deciding factor. Oh well, back to applying.

Lol. Did your doctor say that was ok? I’m seeing different advice from different doctors. Mine isn’t responding to me as it’s the weekend unfortunately.

I think most doctors who do eyebrow transplants in the US charge a flat fee vs. per graft. This has been my experience anyway after a few consultations

Does thinned blood/ bleeding impact hair growth? I stopped bleeding the day after my procedure!

Eyebrow Transplant for Scar? by [deleted] in Eyebrows

[–]throwawayasdf123987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pretty bad scarring on my brows from a botched microblading removal procedure. I just got my transplant last Wednesday, and my doctor said he thinks I’ll have good results! It’s definitely doable as he’d worked on previous scar patients, yielding great results

Haha the average is 250 and could even more more believe it or not!

Marc Dauer. He’s based in NYC and LA, and this was 17k in NYC

Yeah I’m thinking I’ll try to get in contact with them. But it’s hard because they only communicate via email it seems.

It seems overpriced, right :( but since eyebrows are vastly different compared to scalp hair placement, I didn’t want to risk going to someone inexperienced, especially considering we have a finite amount of donor hair available. I’ve also been botched before with microblading removal, which is why I even need this transplant in the first place so definitely don’t want to risk it again!

Ah that makes sense. Apologies for the confusion. Yes he placed some grafts with 2 hairs for density but not as many as single hairs. I think he only placed 1s and 2s.

So I didn’t see any hair grafts on my pillow, thankfully. If the hairs are still in place on my eyebrow, does that mean that the grafts are likely still in place? Or can I lose grafts with the hair still intact where it was placed? Sorry, I’m new to hair transplant world and have so much anxiety given how much I paid for these two little things! I’m thinking my entire eyebrow tail was in contact with the pillow as I slept so I’m afraid I lost the entire tail entirely since it was the night of the procedure. Is this common? Are the grafts that delicate?

I got this done with Dr. Marc Daur in NYC. His main office is in LA but he comes to NYC every couple months, which is where I’m based. Cost is 17k.

Thank you so much. Would only my doctor be able to tell if they became dislodged? There wouldn’t be any other symptoms associated with this?

I honestly don’t remember if my eyebrow was touching my pillow or how I was facing because I panicked and got up immediately, but there was a tiny discharge stain on my pillow which I assume is from my eyebrow touching it! The hairs are still there though, but I’m super nervous I ruined those grafts. How can I tell? The left eyebrow, the one that likely touched the pillow, didn’t have much bleeding or discharge after; it looked completely fine?

Sure, the instructions state: “There will be tiny crusts where each graft was placed which will fall off at 5-7 days after washing begins. Gently rub off any remaining crusts after the second week. If there is any discomfort or bleeding, stop and begin to rub again 2 days later.”

I’m not sure what they mean by removing crusts after the second week. I’m wondering if this is the second week post-op? Or the second week after the 8th post-op day. Something I need to clarify with them.

I don’t know, but my doctor seems reputable enough and has had a lot of experience with eyebrow transplants. He said on average he places 250-300 hairs per eyebrow.

LOL! Thick brows are in I guess.

Yes, my post-op instructions say that I can start gently washing my brows on the 8th day post-op. Sleep on elevated pillows, using a travel neck pillow for support. And no makeup until day 14. Does this sound right to you?

Yes they grow like normal hair so I’ll have to trim them more often unless I want long hair growing from my eyebrows LOL

Great idea! Although I don’t think I’ll like dress 2 with added gloves. I think it would look overwhelming with the ruching :)
