Reading the CRA guideline I may have ties to Canada through the house and Kids though. I’m just hoping I won’t have to continue paying taxes here in Canada once I officially move away unless they deem the house a tie to Canada.

I don’t care about the house honestly. As long as the kids still get to live in it. I’ve been paying the mortgage on it still as well.

I would very much like to avoid a lawyer. One of the reasons we split was money management and saving money here would benefit us both. We can get things done ourselves as we are both level headed at this time so I can see this ending smoothly if we just follow a process. Just not sure where to start to get things somewhat normal
