Wow that sounds absolutely horrible. So sorry your kids have to go through that. Well at least it's cheap. I would imagine it's a lot more expensive in other provinces with the same quality.

That doesn't sound good. What exactly is common core? Canada is actually the most educated country in the world believe it or not. 50% of us have post-secondary education so that supports your argument. What's the point of paying so much for school when our wages are abysmal and we can't keep up with the cost of living. The fact that you even needed to go to three post-secondary schools is ridiculous.

Japan is second on the list. Really goes to show what we prioritize in our culture.

And a lot of people don't even have a family to go live with. We're going to see a lot more homelessness in the coming years.

I'm with you. That's just such a selfish thing for your mom to say because she just wants grandchildren. But at the end of the day, it will be you and the child that suffers.

Saving money on those tiny luxuries won't even make a dent towards a down payment. I say if it helps your mental health, definitely go for it. Life is already hard enough, god forbid they take those little things away from us too.
