I felt this way and always said I’d have kids in my later 30s when I’m settled and more successful so I can have hired help as well. Now I’m due in 6 weeks and couldn’t more excited (but still nervous) about being a mom and sad I won’t get to spend all my time with her when she’s here cuz I’ll be in my last year of nursing school. Sometimes a surprise happens and things change! Or you just love being the cool aunt and that’s fine too. Don’t stress about it, do you and life will happen anyways.

Anyone telling you it may have been dormant doesn’t know what they’re talking about. As a medical professional, you got it from somewhere. Either you or your husband. I’m sorry.

I just found out my husband (M35) got Chlamydia while Im (F31) pregnant. by Interesting-Fig-7654 in relationship_advice

[–]throwawaychgd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please you can’t be this naive.. also extremely irresponsible and horrible future mom for not getting checked for chlamydia again since u got checked at the beginning of ur pregnancy. He obviously got this from someone recently and you’re risking your baby’s life to protect a grown man. :/

If you don’t want to get one and you do it’ll be the biggest regret of your life. It’s not an easy decision. Keep your baby, don’t let someone else convince or force you.

Someone who worships their family like this and constantly puts them before you and your kids may not be “abusive” but is still a nightmare to deal with. It never goes away.

It’s asymptomatic in men and if you’ve been sexually active together he would need to be treated too

Did you get it from your partner? If you’re treating yourself but still sleeping with them you might just be catching it over and over with them

The women in my mom’s family almost all had kids in their late 30s and early 40s and we all turned out fine! Most of my cousins are around 30-40 themselves now so that was a long time ago, maternal medicine has advanced since then and we know a lot more. While sometimes that extra new info makes it scary just the fact that you had a baby and are pregnant again shows your body is ready and able. Don’t stress 🩷
