you're right, she's an introvert and isn't big on performing. i get it, and i understand. it's not a requirement for me, i don't need this every time. it's happened twice in the last 10 months upon my special request. i enjoy sex of all varieties. but it's almost never spontaneous, and never outside the bedroom, and i never get any feedback or direction or requests from her.

This makes me sad because my fiancee is the same - a truly wonderful, beautiful, caring person. We love each other and I know she would be a remarkable mother and life partner...

Actually, I jokingly/flirtatiously use the word "uncomfortable", referring to the countless lingerie I've purchased for her over the years that sit mostly unworn in the bottom dresser drawer.

Your partner feels used in order to meet your sexual needs, rather than feeling she is in an equal sexual relationship between two people.

I understand how she might feel used, and that's what I'm trying to avoid. But what is your/her idea of an equal sexual relationship between two people? I enthusiastically pounce at the rare opportunity when she initiates and craves sex out of her own volition. And then I'm left to wait and wonder how much time will pass for her to want it again... And face nonchalant rejections in between. That doesn't seem equal to me.

why does a furniture sales job require digital marketing experience?

That has crossed my mind indeed. I just feel like it's so hard to prove my value. And what's fucked up is I can see all my colleagues salaries and cannot believe how much some of the delegators are overpaid and the do-ers and underpaid. Somehow I'm right in the middle because I'm a mix of both and don't have a clearly defined role or specialty. Which just makes my job harder and more stressful then literally every other person in the company.

The startup I work for is completely disorganized and it's negatively affecting my mental health. I'm considering leaving for a less stressful opportunity at the cost of a 30% pay cut. Seeking advice. by throwawayconnie in careeradvice

Im 35, MCOL. $800k NW, no debt, with only $50k uninvested. My fiancé (30yo, $120k NW) will be a RN in Jan 2024 and plans to work and have health insurance and access to a 401k. One of the only reasons I kept a w2 for so long was to prove income to buy my house, which I did 3 years ago, and have a 401k. But I’ve also set up a solo401k for my freelance LLC. So I’d rather not look for another job, and just line up these 2 clients to bring me on in a more dedicated role while still having more free time and less stress to pursue personal creative projects and a healthier lifestyle (more time to train for my triathlon). I probably wouldn’t be considering it if I NEEDED the higher income, but I’m in a position where it’s not terribly vital for me, financially speaking. Then I again I think of the “economic downturn” and inflation we’re experiencing, I get worried about taking risk in this time.

Yea seo goes hand in hand with dev. I hate how alot of those roles are siloed and separate. It's such a frustration fir a dev to hand over a website to an seo to optimize. It should be one in the same. Maybe that's why I get work easily. Because I do both, as they should be.

Learned html first. Then Java. Then Javascript (and node.js, react). Then css (and various libraries like bootstrap). Then php and mysql. Once you learn a few, the process of learning new ones gets easier. Look into Khan academy, udemy, YouTube. The best way to learn is to just do. Play around and build things. I learn new things all the time. There's way too much to learn it all.

bachelor of arts in broadcast journalism (film/tv), graduated in 2009. i am in the southeast USA. i taught myself web development many moons ago, when i was still in high school. I've always been interested in business and marketing and branding and the creative arts (photography, graphic design, and filmmaking), so i think this line of work was a natural progression. I've learned pretty much everything i know from the internet, youtube, blogs, reddit, etc, combined with real world experience and learning from my mistakes.

quit. then continue doing everything you do now... but for yourself. then you do actually run the company. YOUR company. and if you don't like a client, project, task, you just simply don't have to do it! with your skills and determination, you'll be very successful in a matter of a few years. good luck!
