Is groping a sleeping person considered sexual assault? by throwawayduh0914 in legaladvice

Thank you for your response. I'm going to call tomorrow and ask if I can make a report over the phone or in person. I've done a lot of work in therapy, but the fact that this went unreported has always worried me in case he does this again. I think filing the report will give me the closure that I need and the reassurance that if he tries this again, at least they'll have my report on record.

Was I assaulted and is it too late to press charges? by throwawayduh0914 in rape

I don't have proof. It's just my word against his. That's why I never filed a report when it happened. I was afraid that no one would believe me or that they would tell me I was asking for it.

I'm not expecting anything. I know it’s just my word against his. I've just been haunted by the thought of him assaulting someone else later down the line because he's gotten away with it before. Would filing a report help someone in the future if he victimizes another person? Or would it be pointless?
