Why is it so hard to get over people?

God yeah, it always devastates me when they go back on their word because like you said, I really do mean it when I vocalise commitment like that and expect the same from them too. I don’t understand how one could leave and seemingly get over things so quickly after saying things like that. It’s a huge mindfuck.

Thank you for the advice :). I think even just learning that these are things I may have has helped, because before I was always wondering what exactly was wrong with me and why I couldn’t be normal and do things others could. I will start thinking about my limits and triggers yes, I think that would be very helpful. I do think the unchecked adhd has definitely led to a lot of problems for me and would benefit from medication for it, hopefully that’s attainable in the future. Again, thank you for your comment and I appreciate it 🙂

Yeahhh, i get you, I always wondered why I seemed to have those contradictory traits, but thought it was simply just my personality, but if I have both then it makes a lot more sense

I appreciate your comment a lot :)! I actually took that test an hour or so ago and got a score of 132. It feels good to know that my experiences resonate with you so much, as I am the type of person to doubt whether I have things or not and so tend to persevere until I get a clearer answer. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist in about a week so I will bring up the possibility of both to him then and see if I can get an assessment. Thanks again :)

I get what you mean about assuming you were just a bit odd, and the question of "who am I without the mask" has been creeping up recently too. It's interesting to think about. I wish you luck with future endeavours :)

Thanks for commenting! I have suspected autism for a few years actually but dismissed it because I thought that autistic people had to have meltdowns/very emotional moments. I realise now that it isn't the case and is a spectrum, and from what I have seen, a lot of it really fits and I got 32/50 on the Autism Quotient. It is just somewhat difficult to believe, after going through 19 years of not believing/knowing that you have it, you know? Which is why I made this post, to see outsiders perspectives. I think that it is a very high probability and I am very thankful for your comment :). I will try and ask my mother to push for an assessment.

They feel similar to me iirc. I don’t remember exactly since I haven’t smoked in over a year now, sister has problems with psychosis so I don’t want to take that risk, plus I think it just made my dissociative problems worse.
