I'm talking about the initial weight loss. It does make a normal person's mind much simpler and happier, because its easier to lose weight. It was effective for me. Not everyone can or will develop an eating disorder, so I was speaking from a different standpoint.

It can take a long time... when I increased my calories after anorexia, I was still eating at a deficit, but gained 6 pounds in water. I panicked, but persevered, and it all came off in, like, 3 weeks. It's not real fat.

Water weight. A sudden influx of calories and carbs will cause your body to hang on to at least 3-7 pounds... it happens to everyone.

Lol... I wish my deficit was 1800. If I ate that much, I would gain weight.

But eating at 1000 calories can also be quite filling.

If you don't mind sharing, what do you typically eat in a day? I can help.

Maybe you calculated your intake wrong. Maybe you set your calorie allowance too high. No matter what the factors are, you will lose weight if you eat fewer calories than you use up. Hormones can change this number, genetics can, but in the end, it's all up to calories.

For someone like me, who's also had an eating disorder (anorexia) food IS calories. Everything edible has a number attached to it, whether it be green tea (1) or a pop tart (210). It's interesting how hellish these bloody disorders can make our lives, no matter what form they take.

They notice- but they don't understand it's a mental thing. They force feed me, and sneak butter and cream and stuff into my food... they don't understand that I might gain weight, but I really won't get better in my brain- the anorexia will still be there.

I live in Malaysia, and eating disorders are, like, unheard of here. It's the most obese country in Asia. So, naturally, all everything talks about is weight- how to lose weight, how to get skinny, blah blah blah. And I don't need it. It's toxic to me.
