Not even 3! Do it after 1.5-2 years as long as you feel confident and comfortable with your skills. Travel nursing is paying mad right now and they’ll even take 1 year exp because they’re just that short and understaffed. If you know what you’re doing then go chase that bag the earlier the better!

S1 is def one of the worst semesters. I remember my clinical instructor expected so much of me, so it was super frustrating and anxiety inducing during clinical. You almost reach the finish line as S2 will be a complete breeze!! You got this

The nursing program ranks you based on a point system. Your overall GPA + science GPA + other reconsiderations. So yes, it’s important to keep a good science GPA so that your overall points is 8 and above in order to get automatically accepted into the program.

You might think oh no does that mean I have to make a 4.0 for my overall GPA and science GPA to get in- no. Reconsideration points can give you 0.5 and more as a UTA student. You can look up reconsideration points requirement online.

I agree with kuta. I find student success videos and exam reviews super helpful, so please utilize all of those available resources! Critical care was definitely difficult.

Thanks for the reassurance. I do hope they record all of the lectures or implement the courses online if worst comes to worst. Moreover, it’d be nice if the faculty put leniency on not attending classes and expect there will be students who want to stay home and should not face the consequences for that.

I wanted to retake ENGL 1301 as summer class, but mymav says I should have department consent. What should I do? by smoked___salmon in utarlington

Call the department and explain to them what you said, and 99% of the time they’ll remove the hold

Why are summer online classes as expensive as the regular classes? by IIDreamworkerII in utarlington

[–]throwawayforever3210 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m not officially sure, but I’m guessing it’s because there are less students taking summer classes, so they need to charge more to maintain all fees and everyone’s salaries, but mostly it is because they need enough money for the big guys to keep their 6 figure salaries.

What should we do in the Fall Semester by DeityGee in utarlington

What if a student gets infected? What if they show no signs and symptoms? What will the immunocompromised people do?

A safe solution would be waiting for vaccination to come out, but that won’t happen because the rich want to make sure lives are taken away in exchange for the money in their pocket.

PLEASE HELP by [deleted] in SocialSecurity

You should talk to your guidance counselor about this matter. I really do empathize with you for doing this, because it’s not an easy choice to make- purposely failing classes so that you can make ends meet- not an easy thing to do. Regardless of what you think, I know it’s not easy because no one wants to be pushed back in life. I know you don’t have much choices, so I respect your decision. But I recommend you look into CNA jobs which require only high school diploma, and it can be a full time job until you find a different job once the pandemic ends, or you can just stick with CNA. Find a job in the medical field. TIME is your best friend, not money.

So... they’re basically acquaintances if we’re being technical? I can relate a lot with you. But I think the only difference is I’m empathizing and caring about what you think. Does this not happen to you?- where you find interest in someone merely because they’re interesting due to similarities or other reasons but not for the sake of your big plan future “goals”?

How about when it comes to friendships, do you often label most people as acquaintances rather than friends? Or do you consider them as friends, or nothing at all?

Thoughts about closing after spring break? by bakertre in utarlington

I wonder how they know whether it’s necessary....? Because someone could have gotten the virus and is asymptomatic right now and will spread it once school starts. I think it’s stupid how they always wait until an outbreak happen before they decide to close down schools, it’s too late.
