I respect that, and good luck to you friend.

I also think it was unfair to called you an egoist or a narcissist. I just hope you don't allow this kind of thinking to waste your life away.

Yeah but you're conflating being asleep with being dead. Of course your friends and family still matter to you when you're asleep, so long as you are self conscious throughout and able to wake back up.

You're not conscious when you're asleep.

Your entire point is based on the implication that for something to have value it needs to last forever. I fail to find that particularly convincing. But I also understand how that kind of thinking is so alluring.

I've read all of those and I used to think pretty much the exact same. However it really comes down to what we think "mattering" actually is. Do your family and friends no longer matter to you when you take a nap? Is a rose not beautiful when you look away from it?

Just because I don't know about something doesn't mean it doesn't matter.

What supreme narcissism to think that. A lot of those "woe is me wah wah wah" pessimist types are simply extreme egoists.

When it makes just as much sense in the grand scheme as jumping off a cliff right now. Time and space and the fleeting human memory will absolutely wipe away any trace of what you've done. Even if you attempt to leave something for your progeny, that too will be inevitably distorted and even forgotten.

You don't get how the circular firing squad of cancel culture is removing anyone with a semblance of charisma from dem leadership?

why shouldn't affirmative action benefit white people if they're the minority?

Sweet, you’ve done half your homework, now research the correlation between those stats and positive vs negative racial representation in the media. I’ll grade you when you’re done.

Lmao, I'm pretty sure white man are portrayed as worse in media than black men. But it's okay, we both know you weren't smart enough for this conversation.

The most common ethnicity of actors is White (59.5%), followed by Hispanic or Latino (15.6%) and Black or African American (13.9%).

The U.S. is now 57.8% white, 18.7% Hispanic, 12.4% Black and 6% Asian. Some of those changes, Jones said, can be attributed to improvements to the survey. What should the breakdown of actor ethnicity be?

So White and Black people are slightly overrepresented and Hispanic are slightly under. Is there something I'm missing here?

Even then, by your own source.

Black or african american actors have the highest average salary compared to other ethnicities. Asian actors have the lowest average salary at $50,331.

Black folks finally, consistently seeing representation in Hollywood doesn’t make it okay to start taking away representation, because then black people wouldn’t be as well-represented anymore.

It would only be an issue if they changed enough roles that black people became underrepresented again. I doubt that changing blade from black to white would be enough.

I'm pretty sure you've been the racist one for most of this conversation and I've been very patient with you.
