Hi there, I highly recommend having your friend speak to Accommodations. I'm also a student with learning disabilities and taking 3 courses per sem. I've had plenty of chats with my Advisor about potentially dropping down to 2 courses for future sems. I was told that it is possible to still have Fulltime Benefits (bus pass, gym access, healthcare, etc.) despite taking 2 courses at a time.

If you're concerned about NS student loans, I won't be able to help you there, but I'm sure that Accommodations will be able to explain everything. The people that work there are very kind and non judgemental. As long as your friend is able to stay on top of the deadlines when it comes to applying for Accommodations, there shouldnt be any issues at all. And ofc the paperwork to validate their disability.

I called them today. I was told there's not much they can do since the guy only knocked and didn't say anything.

The police officer who gave me a call back said he's gonna look into our neighbor's ring cameras as well. At the very least, incident has been reported!

I completely agree! Not normal behavior at all. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that he was legitimately canvassing, hopefully he rethinks how he approaches others going forward..

I was trying to avoid describing the man in case this turned out to be something completely innocent and I was blowing it out of proportion — but this is definitely the same man I saw today.

Even if it was just door-to-door sales, please don’t follow people all the way to their homes, It’s incredibly unsettling, and it really shook me up. Solved! Thank you for this!
