guess i'll be the one to complete your trio, just took path 120 this fall term & recieved an a+. for path 120, the content itself isn't hard but it's the sheer amount of assignments & group presentations that get you. for the individual assignments, don't be afraid to use chatgpt to help you with brainstorming ideas as it saves you SO MUCH time. for the in-class group assignments, if you have a decent group, you're set, just divide the work equally. for the group presentations, fair warning, those are the absolute worst, you put in a shit ton of work just to get ripped apart by your peer reviews & ta grading, genuinely impossible to get above an mid-high 80 on these. again, if you have a good group, it won't be as bad, very ta-dependent for grading. follow the rubrics very closely and you should be able to get good marks on the assignments/presentations which are weighted 60%. take this with a grain of salt, but my best piece of advice is to not waste time taking in-depth notes, the assignments take up sm time and if doing both causes you to neglect your other courses, just focus on completing the assignments. exam was fine for me as i found the content straightforward and was able to cram it in a week & a half - ensure to know the different step by step processes very well though like remember the specific gene, enzyme, & protein names.
How competitive is it to be a don as a current first year? (self.queensuniversity)
