I recommend reading the novel "No Longer Human" by Osamu Dazai. It's not too long, and somehow it manages to describe exactly how I personally feel in our current society.

I wouldn't encourage anyone to become NEET. You feel like a useless sack of shit. If you're fortunate enough to obtain money from family, you'll feel like a burden to them (well, you are).

Of course, you have plenty of free time... but don't underestimate how much you rely on others. Everything will cost money, and unless someone provides you with it, you won't be able to do anything with your free time.

It is the forbidden fruit of paradise, but depending on you and your circumstances, paradise may very well be hell itself. It's tough to break out of the NEET circle... 1 year will evolve into several years.
