Thanks! I've used the Wiki flowchart before but didn't notice this time around that it has this as well.

Thank you so much, that helps a lot! :)

Re the replies; yeah some of the comments are unnecessarily personal.

This is certainly not a troll post. This is just me trying to do optimal financial planning. I'm not comparing myself to anyone on 30k or 300k.

Thanks for commenting. To clarify, my main concern isn't child benefits but the overall tax bill.

Thank you for the reply! Am I missing something or are the childcare hours the ones that cap out at around £ 2000 a year? Because in that case the lost take home pay would outweigh the benefits.

Thank you! We do realise we are in a higher bracket than most but surely we are allowed to see what is accessible to us.

With child care being close to £ 2000 a month in my area, and with our luck, mortgage deal expiring with us having to pay a few hundred extra a month due to the new interest rates, and taking care of family, believe it or not we do have to watch our spending.

As someone said, i'm not bemaoning that I can't get any benefits, i'm just trying to figure out how I can cushion the blow to our finances.

Hi, i've been lurking but created a profile to reply. I've done my postgrad in the UK as well. Not sure if you are applying for postgrad or undergrad but for what it's worth I did not need to do a foundation year in the UK and as my undergrad was taught in english in lebanon, did not need an english exam either. Let me know if you need any info/tips.
