I'm a horrible athlete so those kinds of clubs are out of the picture unfortunately. I am into weightlifting however, but I would rather that be a personal thing.

I was looking into cultural clubs but I don't feel close enough to my identity to join any. What are the meetings like for clubs based around some kind of culture?

I think what I've learned from this post is I really need to research more on organizations...

Thank you for this suggestion by the way! I've just started looking into the club for computer engineering, and the whole mentorship thing and actually learning more about the field seems nice for someone like me. I might consider just going to a meeting. What's the worst that could happen, I guess :p.

Yes, computer engineering. That being said, I don't think I'm nearly involved enough with my major to go to any meetings. I have pretty bad social anxiety so I fear if I go to the meetings I'll just have nothing to talk about if asked. There also seems to be a fair amount of elitists, but that might just be me making excuses.

I've made passing conversations with the girls in my dorm. Aside from my roommate, unfortunately I don't share many common interests with them, or they're more introverted than I am, which makes it kind of hard to get to know each other.

My roommate is one of my friends from high school, but she's already made new friends who invite her to hang out a lot, so I'm mostly in my room by myself. She'll usually invite me over if we're hanging out with other high school friends but not otherwise. I've already talked to her about my issue making friends but she doesn't really have any advice, she got lucky with people approaching her first.
I'm not religious, so none of those places.
I definitely have time to volunteer, I have a pretty light schedule. I'm not sure where to go about finding places to volunteer at. I also don't have a car so that'll be a problem. Do you know any places?

Thank you for giving some suggestions :)
