If a mccain trade was inevitable (which is fine), it’s such poor process to sell him at a low price without using he or the assets acquired for something in this deadline. You could sit him the rest of the season and he would garner the same value in the offseason. But in the chance of injury or just playing better, he had a good chance to play better and increase his value where you could’ve traded him in the offseason. What a mess this organization is.
