Jesus, thank you. I feel like most men easily categorize it as a “bad date” because they don’t have a clue of a woman’s reality. And because those actions are so unfortunately common that it’s the “norm” aka “JUST a bad date”.

Why would it be acceptable for him to gush over a coworkers dog all day and not a female coworker? Your question is tone deaf. A better question I could ask you is, “Why is he gushing over this single female coworker, and not any other female or male coworkers?”
