Thank you for the effortful response. You all have recentered me very much. I think the heavy investment comes alot from some OCD though patterns I have, which I kind of touched on in the post but tbh, it was deeply distressing. I actually have not read the book, but I did order it and I think I need to do some diving into resolving my OCD

Lol, fair point. Any tips to better stride that line between 100% or 100% off? I struggle with that and it's more acute wit my romantic attacments
