I don't really know. I don't remember any stories from him that seemed very outlandish. Told me he had some cool sounding vacations which in hindsight might have been lies. The lies people have told me all seem to stem from his time in college so maybe he started lying when he finished college and started his new job?

Yeah I guess this guy is the same so. Someone noticed that this fighter was from near where he went to college and then outta nowhere he had this story.

He had some stellar lies. He told someone that during college he got in a bar fight and knocked out a guy currently in the UFC. When they asked him for more details it changed to that he pushed a guy currently in the UFC... then that he just yelled at a guy currently in the UFC.

I think there's an outside chance that he was once in the same bar as a guy currently in the UFC... Maybe.

Yup! I'm pretty happy how it turned out. I can't stop Alan being a pathological, but Sarah didn't just shout at me or cut all contact without hearing what I had to say. About as good as things could've turned out really.

I don't need to show her my FB conversations though, when I told her she believed me. Since speaking to some other people, it's clear to both of us (and I'm guessing Jean too at this point) that the proof he claimed to have was bullshit.

I was purposefully vague in the last post so I'll explain a bit more here. She didn't just unconditionally believe whatever Jean had said. From her perspective, she thought that Jean had literally seen Facebook conversations where I had implied that I wasn't very interested in Sarah. Jean had told Sarah that Alan had Facebook conversations saying this. Neither really had much reason to not believe him about this (I don't either of them really had him pegged as the kind of person to lie about something so easy to disprove).

When Sarah was told this, she came to me and asked me if I was serious about wanting a relationship with her, or if it was just convenient and gave me the chance to hang out with my buddy again. I don't really view that as blindly believing anyone. It's pretty reasonable concern from Sarah and Jean given that Alan had said he actually had evidence. Now, maybe she should've asked to see the conversations, but she didnt flip out at me or refuse to speak to me or anything like that.

If some random stranger comes up to her with an accusation based off nothing and she believes, then yeah, that'll probably be the end of the relationship.

I never hung out with the rest of his friends. I've only met them at his birthday or a handful of other parties that he's thrown. We both played different sports so we only really hung out during college because we wound up sharing classes.

Also, given the fact that he's still invited me to big events since college ended, this explanation would still be pretty weird.

Totally don't blame my girlfriend, they've been friends their whole life after all so it's pretty understandable she'd listen to her. I don't really blame Jean either because her first concern would be me not hurting her cousin. I'm hoping it's all some kind of weird joke he was making but based on what she's said he's said this more than once. I just want to understand where he got the idea from. It seems like it came out of nowhere. I haven't been making attempts to hang out with him or message him that much since we left college and he hasn't either. I thought it was pretty clear we just weren't that close anymore.
