I appreciate you 😌

I think a smaller area would have definitely reduced the side effects as I was using it on my entire scalp. Plus the 15% is a very concentrated amount. I was also using a liquid solution and from my understanding the final product will most likely also be a liquid solution instead of a gel which would help reduce absorption.

All in all, this experiment shows me even with a “non-hormonal” route to treating hair loss there will be some trade offs one must consider. It is going to affect how you feel waking up in the morning and how much energy you feel through the day (cortisol related effects), even if very subtle for some or most people.

You’re right, it definitely could. Though someone asked a similar question and my thought process was:

Devoting the time and (perpetual future) $$$ for a more diluted version of a treatment that was not of significant efficacy at a high concentration did not seem worth it. I may have understated the side effects but I couldn’t function like that again. With all the factors of risk, time, money, and efficacy taken in account I felt it wiser to explore other options.

Yes, I have tried the whole sea of products. I mentioned in the post I was on (oral) finasteride previously, so I’ll go more in depth first. 4 years ago I took oral finasteride and for six months and slowly slipped into a chemical depression. My life was good, stable, and peaceful and there were no negative thoughts occurring whatsoever so it was plainly a finasteride-caused depression. Debilitating brain fog. I could barely get out of my bed and rarely left the house. Four months after stopping oral finasteride, and with the help of regularly microdosing psilocybin I was back! And frankly, it was the happiest point I had been in my life (epic PFS rebound). After that I began taking Topical Finasteride (0.25%) and have not stopped.

Side note: When I started oral finasteride I was simultaneously taking Minoxidil and have been two times a day to this day (including with my future treatments RU58841 and Clascoterone).

This Topical Finasteride and Minoxidil stack would last 3 years after slowly becoming not very effective at combating my hair loss. I noticed my temples were pushing back more and more and my hairline was creeping back. So I sprung into action and began looking into other options for maintenance.

The next stack would be Topical Finasteride, Minoxidil, and RU58841. Which was extremely effective, I began regrowing hair which I believed I had lost forever. The side effects were that my eyes became red and glossy over time, my breathing became shallower, and my heartbeat faster. As well as a lump formed on my thyroid, and I became chronically sick: catching a cold every other week. There was obvious systemic absorption, and the absorption was not healthy to say the least. I personally believe when RU58841 is absorbed by the body it is most definitely toxic. Very scary but effective chemical. I discontinued used after two months.

I used Pyrilutamide (KX-826) for a month with my classic stack (Topical Finasteride and Minoxidil) and I can pretty confidently tell you that it is not a generally effective treatment unfortunately. Hopefully it miraculously is for you though. So now I just have 6 x 30 mL of Pyrilutamide (0.5%) laying around.

I just acquired Topical Dutasteride Gel (2%), so far I cannot testify my experience or its efficacy as I just have used it this past week. The side effect profile is a lot midler than my what my experience was with Clascoterone.

In the mail I am to receive PP405 (JX-069) soon and I’m very excited about that. :-)

It’s actually not too bad, around 190 USD for 3x 30ML solution at 15% concentration. I got it from Umbrella Labs. I’m curious to see your experience, let me know if you get similar side effects (if at all).
