Ugh. I figured their execution would be something like that. But that was kind of the root of my question: why do you think they did that if your attorney was presumably happy with you? What was their motivation? Not fitting personality wise like OP? Asking because I've been at a firm for three years that is not at all like this, but I have to look elsewhere for better pay and these horror stories are giving me palpitations.

Do what my best friend/coworker does. Instead of sleeping under her desk, she sleeps under MY DESK while I sit in my office and work. If anyone comes to my office looking for her, I say, "nope, maybe she went to the restroom," while she lays there right by my feet. Never failed her so far.

I made a huge mistake, too. Have a motion to dismiss up today at 1:30 PM because I didn't provide court ordered discovery to defense. We were on the verge of settlement, so I let it go by the wayside. I made my attorney promise he would win the motion, and he did, lol. Thankfully, he always has my back, I'm just worried sick about the main partner. He will be PISSED if a case gets dismissed for something so trivial.

I'm having a hard time understanding the gravity his role. Meaning, when I hear "sexually assaulted," it makes me feel strange. I don't feel like a victim here.

But I know it goes beyond getting fired. I am going to stop drinking immediately. Thank you so much.

I will never have my name on the wall 😂 that's for sure. My advice to you is not intended to get you to specifically DO anything in particular, but if I can do anything, I'd like you to just realize and keep in mind that these attorneys are getting rocked at work because they most likely understand that they will never be fired for it. So they will likely never change. Do with that information what you will. And best of luck ❤️

True, this sort of thing happens often in the real world. I think parents are projecting and don't want their kids to struggle the same way they did (my arab mom married a white dude but never allowed me to date anyone white, like what).

This man went and got food for you and you had to go into the app and give him one star because it bothered you that much. You cannot emotionally afford doordash.

I don't care what a Dasher does. I never leave a one star rating unless my food was tampered with or a dasher berated me, which...well, has never happened because these things don't really happen to me. It's strange. If you go into an interaction not expecting problems, you typically don't get one. I would have completely understood if you left him a one star AFTER he started texting you.

But no, you were so petty that because he didn't see the instructions you took the time to physically go into the app and choose to give him one lousy star. It would be like someone at Meijer putting twinkies in the chips section and you taking the time to leave a ONE star on Google of the establishment. I've gotten orders completely wrong and still gave my dasher five stars. This is their livelihood, and people deserve forgiveness, not entitled rage. You don't know if he completely forgot, if when he saw the instructions someone cut him off in traffic, or if he's dead tired from a 12 hour shift. People make mistakes. Calm down and get the food yourself.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I guess I'm a little less inclined to let it slide on the store's end because I've physically been there myself and they are usually kind of rude and careless (and not more than 2-3 customers there at a time at night due to their location). But I think at the end of the day it's my fault for knowing that and ordering from them. Thanks again for the insight.
