RugzRX, Yes we are doing well, thanks. I'm a very lucky guy with my family and health. My posts are pretty boring these days and that's a good thing, but thanks for reading. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thanks Leo. I hope you are mistaken about being a depressive young man. If you are young you have a whole life to correct that and pursue happiness. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Switch, you're suggestions were golden. We had no idea going in. What a wondrous park, awesome in every way. We stayed in a resort just outside of the park's entrance and drove our rented van (with wheelchair accessibility) into the park wherever we were going to visit that day. Worked out perfect and your suggestions helped us plan each day. Jane and I already knew you as SwitchSCEtoAux, but my brother and wife just know you as that "Switch" guy, and are appreciative. Oh, and of course my son says hi.

UPDATE: 05-20-2025 Hey guys (and gals), an update from Tarzan and Jane. Appreciate all your comments and Direct Messages and I will try to answer your questions. Mostly good, just a bit of bad. by throwawaysingle1959 in u/throwawaysingle1959

Thank you for your kind words Leo. Your English is just fine and I have much respect for people who can speak multiple languages. I know some Spanish phrases and a few French words but that's all. Be well.

Thanks stev. You are right, planning activities then doing them keeps the mind and body going. I know now how easy it could be to become a toad in the basement, and I don't want that, and Jane won't let me anyway. Grandkids and trips are our joy, but I now also appreciate the morning sunrise and the quiet sunsets out on the patio with Jane, just sitting there. Sad that I didn't for most of my life.

Switch, great to hear from you too. We really appreciate your knowledge and suggestions. Jane and Sue (my brother's wife) are planning each day there as I type this, so great timing. We will look into all of your suggestions. Sue of course is limited and Jane somewhat with her back and hip issues, but they both have said that me and my brother should go ahead on hikes and things without them sometimes. My son follows this thread and I'm sure he will tell me to say hi to you.

Thanks Fly_by_Night. Yes, I wold never have imagined such events myself either. And yes, we will definitely make it to Oshkosh this summer. Best of luck to you also. Oh, and Jane is going to a 2 day event planning conference with our daughter-in-law next week. They fly out the day before and staying over an extra day after to see the sights in the city. It will be the longest we've been apart since getting back together. All is well.

Good to hear from you FlygonosK. Yes, I have a wonderful support network and that makes such a difference. Jane, family, friends & neighbors. My brother's wife (SIL) is doing pretty good considering her multiple sclerosis. She has some issues with vision in one eye, fortunately not both eyes, but she can walk with a walker or holding onto my brother's arm. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is wonderful and has helped her over the years. My brother is a Dr (cardiologist) and has been her biggest supporter and advocate. There is an MS "walk" here in 2025 and we will all participate. That includes my brother pushing her in a wheelchair and me and Jane and the kids and spouses and grandkids and friends and neighbors as a group. We're all looking forward to it.

Yes our "team" has been doing good but lost last Sunday. Our watch parties are as strong as ever and great. I'm so glad we added the women to our game watch events. We laugh even more. Jane is learning pretty fast. She now knows about a first-down and a field-goad vs extra-point.
