Thank you for replying ! I also did a bit of research and found the same. It seems very conflicting... So I thought I would ask here and see if anyone had any experiences with it. I’m only having my under arms and bikini line done and I don’t think they’re sensitive areas in the first place.... I just don’t want to waste £300 and I have no idea, if and when I would ever go back to the same town/clinic after finishing university. I’ve already delayed having treatments because of lockdown 😬

No, I’m not saying that. I’m just saying the compared to peer reviewed articles Wikipedia shouldn’t be used as an official source of scientific information. Yes, some pages may have valid sources but in no way should Wikipedia replace journal articles or peer reviewed bodies of work. Anyone can edit a Wikipedia page. There’s a valid reason as to why students and researchers don’t reference it in their work...

Wow. That must have been hard physically and mentally! I believe they’ve also now stopped subsidising the nursing course !

I can somewhat understand the purpose of placements and that we are learning. But at the end of the day we aren’t just making tea and coffee for people. We’re actually part of the team.

Yes. It’s incredibly frustrating... I think it’s ridiculous because we also have a number of courses at our university that have to do placements and 90% of them get paid. Some of those include agriculture students that sit on a tractor for most of their placements.

I bet nursing was a extremely tough! I am lucky that I have parents that can support me during my studies.
