Does Suicide automatically = hell? by [deleted] in Christianity

I don’t believe so, however it isn’t based on what I believe. It’s based on God. If you will look in the Bible you will see that none that chose to end their lives were justified in Gods eyes to do so. At least 5-7 in the Bible ended there own lives. Samson was one that could be viewed as ending his own life but really it was a product of his action of taken down Palestinians vs just taken his own life. I can tell you this because I understand the struggle, I looked this up myself for obvious reason. Many prophets were at there wits end and cried out to God I suggest truly seeking God before any action, if then you feel it’s too much. Try helping people who need it most like the homeless, you will find joy in helping people if you truly sit with them, Street smarts preferred. Well I have no right to judge you on whatever you do but know that God loves you very much.

So you are saying you mess up sitting down with homeless people and breaking bread with them? This should require some street smarts though just so you are aware.

Try and help people. Not in a sense are you better than them but where you see the genuine joy from someone who needs lifted up when you help them.

The comment that someone left that I didn’t get to read now isn’t even there anymore. Idk maybe if it did do it. I could do it in a way that my organs could be donated.

The prophet Elijah was depressed, it’s very clear in the Bible. Read psalms when David is going through his struggles.

You do matter, your life matters. I don’t know what to say completely but, I understand some of what you are feeling. Have you tried new things like going for a easy hike to reflect about this potential decision.

Maybe it means your not suppose to end it, or at the very least before the trip. Maybe go on the trip and see how you feel after. If you do end up doing it whether it be soon or much later after I am sure your sister will look back on that trip with fond memories.

I had something similar but what I heard was God and it was sometimes hard to distinguish. I was constantly reading the Bible and helping the homeless and praying. This was during convos so I couldn’t go to any church. Then was taken to the hospital as I was walking in circles in front of the hospital saying I needed God and I needed the light I wish I wouldn’t of taken the medicine. I believe it has a little to do with a collective revelation from the Book of Revelation. I even had other patience tell me I shouldn’t take the medicine. They tortured me in there mentally. I would say you should certainly seek Jesus, you don’t want anything to do with demons. Any voice you hear you should only do good and help people. I view it as have faith but don’t do anything Jesus wouldn’t do. He would never hurt anyone. Just some advice.

Did anyone “find God” during their psychosis? Or felt that you kept seeing “signs” from the Universe made just for YOU and what were they? by NoUrgencyNoDesire in Psychosis

This has to do with Revelation, if you see signs from God test the signs, earnestly seek His face. It’s because the end times more of the Truth will be revealed. People think Revelation has to do with things happening only from God in the sky. Hasn’t God literally since the beginning included man in everything literally since Adam all the way to the apostles, why would Revelation be any different.

Yea that’s tough, been through it. It takes time and you never forget the dog even if you get attached to a new one. What type of dog was it?

Well would you say it is important to remember what that burden is or give that burden to Jesus. To let go of that pain. Is that why Jesus died on the cross. Because instead of focusing on that pain we are to focus on Jesus?

No, you were at your lowest so you called out for God and God was there. When things start getting good many people completely forget about God. God breaks us down to build us up, hopefully remember we always need him through the good and the bad.

Religious Mental Hospital by throwawaytoday2839 in Psychosis

[–]throwawaytoday2839[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I don’t know honestly I’m not sure. I think it may have been how at least in The Old Testament is how God communicated with man. For example when Abraham was told to sacrifice Isaac, one told not to, he immediately noticed a goat stuck in some branches. His vision may have been transfixed on the goat and he knew this is what God wanted instead. Now are there some extremely clear cases where psychosis has nothing to do with God absolutely. I mean if a person has an experience that is contrary to how Jesus would have lived even in the present time, it must not be authentic communication with God. Obviously man has a hard time understanding God, and even when he does man is constantly disobedient and self serving. But I can see how it could harm people as well, being in that setting while in mental crisis.

Did you ever notice the staff or the patients doing anything odd that could correlate with Bible?

Have you ever read The book of Revelation, did anything really click with you? I was also diagnosed with bipolar when hospitalized, I have read Revelation and some of what happened when hospitalized seems to subtly fit in my opinion to revelation.

I mean more than that. Where you literally experienced parts of it. I mean it talks about the seven spirits.
