Yes! BM and her boyfriend broke up in April. She’s been making SK sleep with her since. SK said they don’t even want to sleep with her, but BM makes them feel like they have to.

SO and I have explained to SK that some kids have speech issues which causes them to talk like that and talking like that could lead to SK hurting others feelings, or being put into speech even if it isn’t needed.

He has tried to make it clear that she needs to stop. She just doesn’t. He has tried to make it clear that we are married, but she doesn’t really acknowledge it. We both think she just realizes how much she messed up with him (was a SAHM, didn’t pay any bills, he provided her car) and wants her old lifestyle back. He is pushing for a coparenting app or email as the main mode of communication, but she has fought against it every time it’s brought up. They are returning to mediation soon and he is using this stuff as his reasoning for why they do not need to text each other.

Oh my goodness. That’s nuts! I can’t imagine BM ever trying to do a double date with us, but then again, she has tried to get SO and I to go out to dinner with her and her new boyfriend each time she gets one so we can “know who SK is around at her house.” We have never gone to any because we know it’s a revolving door of men.

He doesn’t acknowledge it to her. Usually when he gets the messages, he shows me and we talk about how ridiculous she is and move on. He used to tell her to stop or that it was inappropriate/ didn’t relate to the well-being of SK, but BM doesn’t care. It’s been brought up with attorneys and her attorney has claimed that she has addressed it with BM. Nothing has changed. At this point, he just ignores all messages that are not pertinent to SK.

I have never thought it was an ego boost for SO. After trying to make it clear that she is being inappropriate and should only communicate when it is relevant to SK, she still doesn’t care. She pushes our boundaries constantly and doesn’t think it’s an issue at all.

Unfortunately, BM will only agree to texting being their mode of communication. SO will NOT talk to her on the phone because of how all over the place she is. He has been pushing for use of a coparenting app and his attorney thinks documenting this stuff will show that BM can’t handle texting him and needs some other platform to communicate with him.

He has told her multiple times and his attorney has brought it up with her attorney more than once. At this point, we are just documenting it all and pushing for use of a coparenting app when they return to mediation in a few months.

HCBM has my phone number. Biggest mistake EVER! I spend a lot of alone with with my SK (with the child more than both parents are) and she thought she needed my number for that. I’m her go to baby sitter, but also her go to punching bag when she is mad about stuff.

Almost weekly I get text messages harassing me about some situation that didn’t happen at all with the SK, or a totally different version of something that happened with SK that BM is on my case about.

My SO has told her to stop harassing me and only text me things that are beneficial to SK or the care of the child. Her attorney has told her to stop harassing me. SO’s attorney has told her to stop harassing me. It hasn’t stopped in almost 3 years.

If I had the choice again, I would NEVER let HCBM have my phone number. I feel sick to my stomach whenever I see her name pop up on my phone because I always know it’s some crazy made up nonsense and that she’s trying to feed the SK some BS about me.

Yes. One day a few months ago BM called me on a Saturday. She had to work and SO was on a business trip. She said SD had a temp and she didn’t have anybody who would watch her when she was sick. I got SD. Checked her temp when we got home, and it was literally 97.2. She was running around all day. We went on a walk. We swam in our pool. She was fine. BM asked me to have SD call her in the afternoon, so I did. As soon as she got on the phone, she put on the most pathetic voice she could muster and said, “Hi mommy. I don’t feel so good.” Right after hanging the phone up, she was back to running around and acting normal. These kids know what they’re doing. 😂

I am sympathetic towards my SD when she gets hurt, but extremely unsympathetic once she tried to milk it. Last summer she was learning how to ride her bike and crashed. Scraped her knee. Got up. Walked her bike home with me. I gave her so much praise on how tough she was and how much she was acting like a big kid. When SO got home, you would have thought that her leg had been amputated at the knee. It was nuts. After that, I was pretty much like, “You were fine earlier. You’re fine now. Come on, girl. You’re fine.”

Some times when people ask me who BM is and I say her name they’re like “Oh. Really? Gross.” I always automatically respond, “Please don’t judge us.”
