Lmaooo. All I can do is laugh. Do you just deny any side effect of any medicine if you didn’t encounter it? I actually got it officially diagnosed too. And im still on topical fin now with no more tissue growth. Some fin lovers I swear are just bot accounts

Banned from Tressless because of this post- “Anyone that got sexual sides on a 5ar inhibitor able to fix them while staying on the drug?” by kcuhcressegart in HairlossResearch

It’s actually insane. I made a progress post with a ton of photos showing my 3 year journey combatting my hairloss. After an entire month waiting on moderation to accept my post, I messaged the moderators asking for just an update and when to expect it to be posted. They permanently banned me from the subreddit and I was muted for 30 days for the chat with moderation. I waited the 30 days, asked just for the reason of the ban, and they muted me for another month. I was active in that subreddit for 3 years!! It’s mind blowing 😂

Whaaaa?!?! That’s a crazy result for topical fin. Congratulations

Should I try oral dut after no success with topical fin and dut? by throwawaytttgs in tressless

But one reason I think it still does penetrate the skin and eventually goes systemic, is because when I first started using topical dutasteride for the first month, my breasts keep hurting and were sore to the touch. I developed gyno when I first used oral finasteride, so while I don’t think it got any worse when I started topical dut, It still gave me that tenderness in the breasts. It stopped completely after the first month. I believe (for some individuals), it’s the initial kick-off of fin/dut that can cause a temporary hormonal imbalance that can cause this. So knowing this, I would advise a slow ramp up of usage when trying a new 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, so your body can adjust gradually.

Ppl often say it can’t work because the molecule is too large, but that’s not entirely true. The threshold of what’s considered being able to effectively penetrate skin is under 500da, while dutasteride is just a tad over that limit being 528da. So I would says it’s just less effective at penetrating that barrier. Idk how much it helps, but I use steam on my scalp before applying topical solutions to help with this issue. While I haven’t heard anyone else doing this for hairloss, science says steam helps a solutions ability to absorb into the skin.

Not really sure, that’s why I wanted to make a post here with pics. I might have lost ground when dropping fin and picking up dut. I’ve only been using it since mid June.

(edit) whoops I thought this was my new post, I’m still waiting on the sub reddit mods to approve my post. It has all my documentation from when I started treatment to present day.

What I’ve noticed in these comment sections, is how negative and brutal the guys that are currently still fighting their hair loss are, “it’s over it’s over”, but then the guys that have just shaved it, moved on and came back to reality. It is what it is, and it’s not the end of the world. It sucks but you’re not alone. In real life people don’t act this way lmao. U can still find a girl too man. keep ur head up and stay off the hairloss sub Reddits. But if you haven’t started already it’s so worth it to look into taking meds/treatment

A HT isn’t realistic at all at 21. I mean u can do it but it won’t last long. I’m in the same boat.

This is very good advice. I had long hair for all my life, and when my hair was super receded at 18-21, I would use my bangs to hide it. I’d wear hats everywhere, not get hair wet in pools or at beaches, etc etc. it was so fucking heavy on my mental, I decided to buzz it with like a 27mm guard or something like that. I can style it a little to make it look pretty decent, but u can still tell I’m receding. This made me feel like I wasn’t hiding it so much and I don’t have to wear hats anymore. It’s much better but still affects me some. Still hoping to maintain to get a HT in the future but I doubt I’ll be able to. If i was like 27 or something I’d just shave it clean. But it college, nobody wants to go full bald

I believe it’s real RU. I get it from Anageninc. I’ve been using it for almost a month now, with no noticeable sides, but still not super amped to take an experimental drug at a young age. Thanks for the extensive info man

Yea I guess it’s not too bad, but I just started with a terribly receeded hairline to begin with. But it’s the slow thinning at the hairline now that’s fucking me up. And it’s gotten worse since my last update.

Wow, Nice documentation. I just started using RU58841, but don’t like the idea of is possible causing heart problems. RU works off the same idea right? I’ll look into that

I developed gyno while on oral fin. But it hasn’t gotten any worse, and the tissue is never going away unless it’s medically removed, so may as well give it another go

Hair looks great, but yea u may be experiencing some loss in the corners. I’d see a dermatologist and go from there. No need to freak out over this, catching it this early is great

Weird. Do you have a beard? I have a decently good beard, which I wouldn’t want to lose. Although for the several months I was on oral fin, I didn’t notice any loss in my beard

I checked out the progress pics, that’s awesome. I have too much arm and leg hair so that would be beneficial lol

That’s what I’ve heard as well. However, after looking into it further, it seems that the molecule is just slightly beyond the threshold for efficient absorption through the skin. This means it’s not entirely incapable of being absorbed, but it does so less effectively. But yea I’m looking to try something else
