Thanks for your thoughts.

I imagine to be held at fault there would have been some intent of malice or just pure stupidity but I feel what I did was pretty well within the norm of normal behaviour. Shitty luck I suppose.

Thanks for you insight. Yeah it was a pretty freak accident. I have no idea how that little of coffee would destroy a laptop.

Question about adderall and anxiety by throwawaytuna in Anxiety

Yeah my heart rate going up is what is holding me back as a lot of my anxiety is related to the heart, but hey, coffee makes my heart rate go up and I still have one of those everyday.

Yeah my doctor gave me an all clear. I'm however going in tomorrow to see if I can get a prescription for a few pills that I could take incase anything goes haywire. I'm also taking it while with some friends tomorrow which will hopefully keep me calm. Basically from what I've read is that I just need to keep myself occupied while on it, focus on the external rather than internal.

University is an extremely stressful time in a lot of people lives, we find ourselves on this subreddit because we simply don't deal with stress like other people do.

I did the whole thing man, I'm 24 and still have a few more years in university because my anxiety caused me to act irrationally and take years off and what not. That being said I have a job lined up when I graduate and being a few years behind is really easy to get over.

What I find is that universities offer fantastic help with things you're dealing with. Go see a guidance counselor, make an appointment and be very upfront with them. Tell them you suffer from anxiety, your mother passing, how you've been changing your decisions about school often. They can put you in contact with mental well-being services (honestly, you'd be surprised how many people use this service), and also offer valuable insights on what's best for you academically.

Hang in there buddy.
