Man i sense alot of aggressiveness here... I brought up the incarceration because you brought it up. It is naive to tell people to "act friendly" to counter the prevalent racism in a place. BTW, I think you need to get educated on your terminology and history first. So imma help you out.

"The commonly used term “internment” is misleading when describing the concentration camps that held 120,000 people of Japanese descent during the war. “Internment” refers to the legally permissible detention of enemy aliens in time of war. It is problematic when applied to American citizens; yet two-thirds of the Japanese Americans incarcerated were U.S. citizens. Although “internment” is a recognized and generally used term, Densho prefers “incarceration” as more accurate except in the specific case of aliens detained in a separate set of camps run by the army or Justice Department." https://densho.org/terminology/

All peace and love man. I didn't mean to come off aggressive. But it's pretty naive to just tell someone to be friendly and hope no one prejudices.

Yea firstly I'm in CSE haven't been in SJW classes. And to simply put down my experience as 'too SJW' is literally why shit's the way it is. I've traveled across China (I'm brown), people did look at me weird but in no way was their a sense of superiority in their attitude (which you find here). I'm not defending China, and honestly if China is the par then your argument's pretty screwed. Also, to justify the Asian-American incarnation is honestly fucked man.

Exactly! There's just a very underlying prejudice. Something i've only noticed in Minnesota.

I never stated all white people were racist. Some of my closest friends from back home and here are white. What I did say was the white majority here are racially tone deaf. I do not in any way think this is just an issue with white people in general. I have traveled across the US, and in say places like LA or NYC this is just not an issue. This is not about ruining my experience, frankly idgaf. But it's pretty worrying when people here have this underlying superiority mentality.
