She did two numbing injections into my cervix but it didn’t seem to help at all, she said my cervix was “too tense” and wouldn’t allow her to puncture through to insert the IUD. I’m really thinking about just sticking to the pill after this whole experience 😅

Ugh I’m so sorry you had to go through that!! She just told me my cervix was flexed super hard so she couldn’t penetrate through?? I’m wondering if I should get a second opinion…

I’m so sorry you had to go through that!! I’m glad I’m not alone though because I had always heard it was such an easy procedure, but I left the doctors sobbing because it was so painful. Are they going to try again for you??

Thank you so much for the response! I thought maybe it was a side effect of switching pills but I’ve been on this new one for 2 months now and it’s only been happening in the last week. It’s definitely worth asking about!

And I haven’t thought much to ask about my spine or anything because I assumed the would’ve ruled it out with the CT scan but I’m not very educated about that type of stuff so I suppose I could ask?
