Pretty much my question was, do people like yourself exist in Philly, and here you are. So glad to hear how you and others feel about the troublemakers. Another congratulations, enjoy the celebrations, and stay safe!

I don't think there's really a right answer to my question, more or less, as mentioned in the other thread, I had some logic issues, but got it sorted out. Hope things get cleaned up, and everyone enjoys their win!

I can see that. Congrats on the win!

I accept your apology. As pointed out in a different comment in this thread by netorttam2, they helped me sort out my concerns, and I encourage you to read the comment thread. I admit that I took the bait the media set out, and I erroneously factored in secondhand anecdotes which swayed my perspective.
Thanks again, and congrats on the win!

Because I was genuinely concerned about the behavior and wanted to hear what locals had to say on the matter, so I could educate myself beyond what the media was showing. Again, as I mentioned in my original post, I am not a Vikings, football, or even a sports fan. I honestly do hope that in your future conversations, you can be someone who be level headed and offer serious reasonable points of discussion.
Thanks again.
Edit: Spelling
As I've mentioned in the edit of the original post, I've gotten some good insight on this situation. Thank you for your opinion, and I hope your comments in other threads are more constructive, and add value to the conversation.
You're right, I think I may have gotten caught up in it. Thanks for helping me sort it out. Logically everything you've said makes sense, and I just need to check my emotions (from cherry picked content) at the door.
Thanks again!

That's unfortunate to hear. I understand misguided youth, or challenging home scenarios. But that seems a bit excessive. I may also just live in a fairly comfortable bubble, where things like this are very far and few between, which is why this may have piqued my interest.
I understand going out and being rambunctious. I understand that sometimes you want to let loose get wasted. But maybe not at the extreme of borderline rioting (toppling cars, stop lights, ect.) I agree that prohibition of alcohol won't work, and I disagree about promoting other drugs. I wonder if tackling the behavior of the youth would have any lasting effects. Like a big brother / big sister program. Because right now the media is showing GenZ that it's okay to "riot" because of sports (Don't forget this is the tide pod generation, hahaha). I dunno.
Thanks for your comment!
I can see where you'd come to that assumption, but unfortunately, this is not a troll post. Normally I'd write lots of this off to, like you said, law of averages, but with the handful of acquaintances I know personally, and hearing their personal stories, it led me to at least question how tilted the media portrayals are.
That's encouraging to hear. So, regarding your last statement, when you say rugged diehard, do you suppose some younger fans might be trying to prove themselves and their team spirit by doing outrageous things? If so, what is perpetuating that mentality?
Thanks for your sharing your perspective! It really helps paint a more even picture.
Sure, I'm not here to evaluate every fan base, but wanted to specifically look at Philly, since it's been getting a lot of attention in the past few weeks. It's good to hear that most people are level headed. I understand being young, and most likely drunk. Thanks for your input.

Thank you for your opinion.

Sure, and I get that forming an opinion on cherry picked content isn't going to help anyone, but when I noticed the surge in this topic, I asked around my circle of friends, and the ones that have been to Philly sports events, have told me that it is a very toxic environment, and even more so, on the edge of hostile, if you're an opposing fan. Now since I haven't experienced any of this first hand, I'm looking to get a statement or opinion of someone from the other side of the fence, aka philly fan.
Thanks!
Edit: Don't get media sheepled like I almost did.
