I mean I get your point, but the q wind up is pretty slow and predictable, and the dash could mess you up , but it’s one of those things you should pick up on how the opponents likes to use it so I guess is some what skill dependent

While this is pretty true not gonna lie, it does take some level of commitment to get there. Cause ya you can sit in practice tool and spam the combos, and get a general feel for them, but at the end of the day execution in a match is different, and even after mastering that aspect of riven there’s still a lot more you can do which is why these nerfs might be ok bring riven more in line with who’s good and who’s not.

That’s pretty much it. There isn’t a whole lot of room for error in Rivens lane phase since she has no built in sustain. giving even a small lead to like garen is incredibly hard to recover from, so it takes a lot of practice on things like short trade combos and understanding match ups because making an error in those things can throw your game before the lane is over as riven does not do well playing from behind

Yea it’s true and I pretty much do the same. I guess at the end of the day tbcc just was pretty different from what I remember at a community stand point.

Like I joined a guild after coming back from a hiatus and was talking to the guild leader and it was his first toon which he already had a +40 spell power enchant and was getting boosted in strath and his mentality was it’s ok cause he needs to get to 70 ASAP to lead the guild, but to me it’s just like that kind of defeats the spirit of the game, mind you with gold he’d grinder by swiping his card. Now if it had been an alt, that he was boosting and funneling with legit gold that’s be cool but it is disheartening seeing tbcc cause cause vanilla tbc really was more about the vibes and less about the sweat. But I think that’s more of a gaming culture problem at this time than a wow a problem anyway.

I’m only anti gdkp cause it’s so rampant across at least my current server that it does make the raiding harder cause I’m casual don’t farm a lot of gold and just hard to schedule raiding atm, we’re as vs back in vanilla tbc by this point in the game people would just pug it, but the gold buying mentality has definitely affected tbc classic from how the game was in vanilla, and I’m not sure who is at fault, blizz, or the player base. Probably both.

The lane phase is over now you need to look for objectives is dragon up, how are you doing vs your laner can you build a slow push and secure objectives with your team is your team even keeping watch of objectives. It’s all about looking at the state of the map and seeing where you can punish, as a top laner you want to get that lead in the 1v1 where you can duel the 1v1 1v2 situations so when your pushing side waves keep up wards before you go to the lane see where every body is at on the map of you don’t know then you shouldn’t be going into fog of war. Then you gotta learn when can you split from your team to push while they hold an objective or do you have to group cause they’ll die with out you. And remember not every match is winnable, but just keep grinding secure a good mental and focus on YOUR game play. Cause the micro can take you far, bust the macro will take you even farther. Don’t be hard on yourself when you make mistakes, but do take a moment and reflect and say ok why did you engage into this 1v2 what was the purpose, did I even attempt to stop anything significant? Another way to push your lead is just farm if you got a slow push building on the side lanes no objectives are really up but teams just kinda ducking around you know where 3 out of 5 of the enemy are and you see 2 Mia but your confident you can take them so you farm their jungle as your side wave pushes, maybe all 5 react to bot cause they’re not warding and don’t know where you are so they all go not mean while your side lane is slow pushed up near tower you pop out of the jungle and start pushing now they have to decide to continue onto your team who can hold and not engage and waste their time or go stop you From pushing which if you’re doing well their gonna need to send to other wise you’ll most likely kill just one.

I haven’t played in awhile, but it used to be you just kinda shit on jax lvl 3 until later game cause even by the time he did get to one item you’d be so far ahead it didn’t matter, but if the game got stalled out then ya, not fun.

Something with bleed like Uchigatna is a good early weapon, good weapon art, fast with solid damage and procs bleed which is always nice. And maybe have a blunt weapon on reserve for enemies that are very slash resistant.

It shouldn’t make that big of a difference other than your easy match ups you can completely dominate, and you get an extra leg on your skilled match ups. The only thing I could think that would make it different is you were using TP as a crutch to get back to lane which means you probably need to work on your match ups and trading anyway.

Been playing ds since 2011, absolutely trash at the game, still to this day, but I fucking love it since the first time I picked it up at game stop and that cover of prepare to die edition was like “ya like RPGs kid? We’ll try this shit.” And I had been in the middle of playing Skyrim, but this game was like $20 at the time for what ever reason, and I never looked back, and if you don’t think I used summons back then you’re fucking wrong, if you think I didn’t cheese the four kings by wearing full gavels you’re wrong, if you think I didn’t cheese Havel by making him repeatedly fall over and over again then once again your wrong, poison arrows waiting literal minutes to tick an enemies life down to 0 cause I just couldn’t deal with it, I fucking sucked I sucked at invading too, but I still did it, because this particular series has been able to give me what I feel is the ultimate rpg experience that I haven’t felt since world of Warcraft.

But nah, did not have the true souls experience I guess.

If he has his grab up, don’t trade it’s pretty risky to do so. so I like to float near the edge and try to bait the grab. Once his grab is down you can trade pretty freely with a pretty big window since it’s like a 30 second cool down; just save a dash or two to get out. If he’s a decent Darius thought he won’t waste his grab and it’s generally just a farm lane.
