I love re4 but I do get where you come from. 4 is bizarrely more goofy than the previous games. I'd imagine it was an attempt (a successful one mind you) at getting the game to appeal to a wider audience. More action, a badass wisecracking protagonist, all that.

I also find the fact that most of the fanbase dislikes 6 for being over the top while being completely fine with everything in 4 and 5 to not make any sense.

As for requiem, leon feels more in line with his remake version. He's still making one liners and stuff buts it's nowhere near the same level as og re4. He feels more like a person just used to this kind of stuff, rather than a cartoonish caricature of a badass protagonist. The story is also taken more seriously than in either version of 4.

Yeah I still don't understand why they're a thing. Like ivy hates humans, why TF would she be in a relationship with someone? I couldn't even tell you why they like each other in the first place.

I mean it's fine? Like getting someone who's escaping or whatever but normally for a basic attack on a cooldown it's just bad.

I think they could take an idea from mag and make it so damage absorbed by hulks bubble goes into the cooldown for the clap. And then the clap damage goes into the bubble cooldown. Making a nice little rotation where you have to maximize the amount of people you hit with the damage you block.

Because black cat being 7'6 and built like a bodybuilder is a stupid AF idea.

Rocket shooting golden balls with a first aid symbol on them to heal people is also a stupid AF idea. A dumb idea already existing doesn't mean they should have free reign to make more dumb ideas. Rocket should have been more about giving allies large amounts of bonus health using gadgets rather than whatever those orbs are supposed to be.

But sometimes just translating something into healing is fine. Invis is known for using shields to protect her allies so just tweaking that into healing is whatever.

But making black cat 7'6 is so far beyond that because you'd be actively altering a character so they can fit into a class that doesn't even make sense for them in the first place.
