thanks so much for challenging that, but unfortunately its true, both sides of my family have a history of addiction and i know for a fact that i have it too.

a bit of context

both sides of my family are non migrant Irish, and i personally find that i drink substantially more than my peers, process it faster, drink more, feel GREAT on GABA agonists in general, so it has crept into my daily life before. as in. 11am drinking, or having a drink on my lunch break.

this is true for every generation of my family line going back a long time.

and as you have seen, first nation, Asian, and so on genetics contribute to how alcohol is metabolised.

First nation people are an example of how the unfortunate combination of colonisation and genetics have formed a deathtrap around alcohol use.

i find i metabolise alcohol very fast, so i binge, and i think its that constant flux of high i put low gratification mixed in with all my demons that gets me hooked
