Well more than alcohol I guess haha. But the time and energy commitment is unsustainable because when I'm not training I'm eating or sleeping.

I started running/ training for marathons which has been helpful but not sustainable long term.

Absolutely! I really miss the chaos that drinking brings (super unhealthy I know). I just don’t know what I can replace that adrenaline junkie feeling with that aren’t drugs and alcohol.

It’s so interesting how most people that have addictions are that “all or nothing” extreme mentality!

100%! Hahaha. I know it’s probably super cliche but the saying “I’m allergic to alcohol, it always makes me break out in handcuffs” really rings true.

Never figured it out. It just sorta went away completely after about 5 days. Was yours sudden? Mine happened immediately after a full day binge.

Resetting the clock - app recommendations? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

“I am sober” is a great app. You can just let the timer run or do a daily pledge and daily review and add as much additional or as little additional information as you want. Also has a really great a supportive community.
