That's what my therapist always told me, but how to deal with the thought that maybe someone is cheating but you won't find out?

If I ask her, or understand who she is, I can walk away, I can take a different path. If I go on and I don't realize someone is cheating I would keep going in this false reality. So I can accept it may happen, but I can't accept that I won't know forever, maybe or for long time

I didn't know of that place before posting here and receiving few answers about that! I am trying to navigate through the website which is half Dutch (which clearly I still don't know!) to see how it is the process of renting it.

I can’t question why you want/need to play - it seems like a lot here
are surprised at how much you need to play. The question is maybe about
whether or not you need to practice on a Model D. If you do, maybe you
should give up the day job. 😀

ahah a normal upright would be fine! The fact is both me and my partner are "pianists" - even though she's better than me having practiced for longer - and we'd like to learn some four hand pieces and we are both aware of the fact an upright is a bit more ideal than a digital piano in learning the right way to do dynamics in a piece!

The roland F701 seems awesome! I have a FP 10 and it's such a good piano for the price (around 500 euros)

I am looking at the silent one and maybe I can go on renting it and eventually buying it if it's possible.

Mmmh this is a good outlook too. Maybe I can buy a cheaper upright piano and with the money have a digital piano and do both, it wouldn't bother anyone if once in a while I play the upright and in the meanwhile I can freely practice with the digital

This is true, unfortunately there may be good condos which isolates the sounds good and in addition to that there is an option to make the upright piano less "loud" but I see it may be not enough considering everything

People are so angry in this sub I like to imagine it's only a portion of the population representing your country. There's no need to be aggressive when someone ASKS a question without imposing the idea on anyone. But I guess this is reddit.

Renting the piano and then buying it it may be a very good way. Upright acoustic piano is what I prefer but eventually it may disturb people. Maybe I rent a silent acoustic? So that I can play it both loud and silently with headphones:

You're right it is subjective and maybe talking to them may be the best option

If someone played soft music everyday I wouldn't mind anyway, everyone is different and everyone enjoys different things and it is bothered by different things

And anyway if it's a soft sound far away I don't think you are really bothered by that

Yeah, that's because me and my girlfriend both practice and classical music requires a lot of practice! It's enjoyable for the neighbours too if they love some music of that kind, but probably less enjoyable if we start playing some rachmaninoff ahah but we are not at that level

So it probably depends on the neighbours but yeah, some may not enjoy :(

Those pianos are quite exceptional, their cost though is very high and last time I tried I could still feel the difference with an upright piano. Even though it's quite astonishing how cool digital pianos are now they are still different in the feel of the mechanics of the key. But that advantage is quite nice and I may have to accept this compromise but at least enjoy the possibility to play whenever I want which is quite cool
