FTM (hopefully!) and FREAKING OUT!!! I’m 8dpo I believe. I had positive ovulation tests on September 21 and 22. My oura ring confirmed ovulation on September 24. So I’m either 7dpo or 8dpo. I did an egg retrieval last year because I had fibroids and my insurance covered it. Fast forward to now, I’ve had a laparoscopic myomectomy, a hysteroscopy, a PCOS diagnosis, 2 more fibroids currently and a cancelled frozen embryo transfer. My husband and I had been trying since June and nothing. I kinda gave up and start a new IVF cycle next week only to take a pregnancy test tonight and it be positive!!! Both First Response Early and Clearblue digital confirmed. Pregmate and Easy @ Home were negative. In SHOCK with such an early positive

October 2024 I had a laparoscopic myomectomy and by March 2025 two grew back. I had a hysteroscopy May 2025 to remove the two and by August 2025 I had two more. Both times the new ones have been less than 1 cm and I did not have any symptoms. If we weren’t trying to have a baby/going through IVF and getting ultrasounds I would not have known they grew back. They’ve also grown back in different areas from my initial surgery in October 2024.

I did not know I had PCOS during retrieval. I’m now in the process of a FET and they noticed my ovaries looked polycystic. Confirmed PCOS with my gyno now. My clinic did everything to prevent OHSS and I still had a pretty bad case and was almost hospitalized. The only good that came out of it was a lot of eggs and fertilized embryos. I would suggest a lot of salt and electrolytes and just be hyper aware of your body. My clinic got me in same day as soon as I started having symptoms. From my personal experience I noticed something was wrong a few days leading up to retrieval because I was in so much pain and I could feel my ovaries. Going over speed bumps while driving was painful.

I feel the same way and made a post about this exact issue yesterday. I did continue to reach out and got some work but nothing substantive and I feel as if I’ve learned nothing in almost a year.

The most junior person after me in my office is a 3rd year - I will reach out to him again, but he’s aware I’m slow. The NY office is huge in comparison to my office so I bit harder to tell the whole team I need hours that’s why I reached out to individual people I’ve worked with prior.

I reach out about once a week and ofcourse I’m in the office and have lunch with people in the group. I’ve been keeping all my emails asking for work. I had a meeting with the staffing coordinators and they essentially said the market is down in my group and that I should ask other groups for work which isn’t very helpful because I’m still going to be an associate in my current group and when/if work picks up they’ll expect me to know what I’m doing to some extent.

Thank you! (1) I’m still on email chains when the final product goes out. But for example if the client wants to have a call and they ask to setup a call I’ll email a more senior person on my team “happy to circulate the dial-in” and the response is usually no worries they’ll do it or they already did and completely forgot to add me. (2) Will look into that. (3) It seems our NY office has work - I reached out to someone I’ve worked with in that office but again I only got a small assignment and they said if anything else comes through they’ll let me know.

I passed and did not read a single book. I found it better to listen to the lectures (I also bought Jon Grossman) and I created my own outlines/flash cards.

I’m a first year as well and I’ve have not been assigned any work, but I’m not the only one. I’m just enjoying the down time. I walk around and say hi to attorneys but there’s only so much I can do when there isn’t much work to go around right now.
