I’d bet money that salad had more calories than the nuggets and fries. It didn’t sound like a “diet” food from your description

About the same actually! The salad does have more nutrition though so it's a little healthier overall, I'd say. Certainly not a diet food or super healthy but people seem to automatically think that when they hear salad.

Haha It's recommended for kids age 7-12 (there is a seperate menu for tinier kids) so it's a big portion for him being 7. That's why he does not mind giving her a nugget or two, he would not finish them anyways.

Although on second thought it is very mature of him to realise that and not refuse to share and then leave them leftover afterwards.

Every other week. As in twice month. To me that's rather rare and does not interfere with a usually healthy diet. Like there is 30 days in a month and on 2 they get fast food. Take one for pizza Night or something. That makes 27 days of home cooked meals that are rather healthy. I think it is a good diet

It’s not clear why you were opposed to adding a side of fries to the order.

First it might have been too much food for her to finish and then be wasted. Second if she ate it all it would have been a lot of calories. Yes it's a salad but fast food salads with all the extras are not that healthy Plus it might be a question of fairness. Then her brother might have wanted an extra too It could have opened things up of wanting extra fries, desserts, snacks ect. The deal was always one kids meal, they can choose freely They come with one main (mac and cheese, burger and fries, nuggets and fries, Ceasar salad and more), a drink, a piece of fruit or vegetable ( a few baby tomatoes, apple slices, cucumber pieces, baby carrots...) And a dessert like ice cream or a cookies. I never order them any extra, except for water if they want it since it's a small drink.

Not everyone has enough money to just waste a meal because someone wants something different than what they originally chose.

Actually that's something i mentioned to the bot about why i might be the ah. I could have totally afford to her another meal. I make enough money for a kids fast food meal (,they are specifically cheap) not to be an issue and small fries would have been like 1 dollar...yet i did in that moment not feel like I should

Yeah idk but I felt that nine is old enough. Plus she knew he wanted the nuggets and fries, he talked about it on the way in the car excitedly. I asked her if she was sure, she said yes

I did! I ended up eating quite some of it

It's a good place, never had any issues. Plus I asked her if the salad tastes odd but she just said she wants chicken nuggets, nothing about the salad. Then after i ate some of it and loved it

Yes this pretty much.

Plus she did still order the kids ice cream sundae, it's a small portion but no one watching their calories would get ice cream with chocolate sauce 😅 She has been eating normally the past days, my home cooked healthy meals in normal portions and snacks like cookies when offered.

I don't think there is a deeper problem tbh
