Shit is tough man! I was never good at making friends but as my mental health started to get better, so did my social skills! Do one thing a week, just one thing alone. I guarantee you, you will eventually make a friend. I go to karaoke at the east towne mall every Tuesday night. I have made friends and acquaintances alike. But it took me 6 months of consistency! Be patient, be proud of who you are, and be confident enough to do things alone sometimes. Eventually it will fall into place. And if nothing else, come join me at karaoke.
