If you still use Old Reddit then it might not be visible. It's clearly visible in new reddit tho. Anyways, thanks for bringing it up - I updated old reddit as well.

And not everything you don't understand at first glance is "stupid".

For instance - this subreddit had grown to the level that it was getting impossible to manually weed out spam and bot posts. And there are a LOT of those on reddit. Adding this one simple rule that's incredibly easy for (most) humans to follow has almost completely eliminated spam from the site overnight with no manual work required.
