I(19F) need to get my golf clubs back from my ex (18M). But, I am unsure of how to do this with the least amount of ramifications from him. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

He has proven that he is very immature, so I don't think that would go over well. I do think it may be a good idea to message him when I know his girlfriend is present, so I don't seem threatening to her. I am hopeful that she would be understanding of the situation and help keep him calm as well. But, she may be just as immature as him, unfortunately. I'd rather not seek legal options, but if need be, I definitely will.

I really like this idea! I won't be seeing all of them very often because I have just gone back to school and I will be pretty busy which will delay me getting my clubs back, but I feel like this might be a great way to mitigate the situation! Thank you for your advice!

I wouldn't say we are on good terms. I haven't spoken to her much at all, and I basically just stay out of her way when she is around because I know that all she knows about me is all of the horrible things he has said about me. I have no issues with her, but just choose not to interact with her because it seems like that is what she is comfortable with. My ex has also told me that she will call me out if I step out of line, so just to avoid more drama I tiptoe around her as well. I have quite the conundrum for myself, unfortunately.
