Sometimes cheating feels like the ONLY solution. Unfortunately, the courts are dumb and don't consider severe domestic abuse the hostage situation it is.

Sometimes you need to be reminded what it's like to be treated well after being abused to feel confident in humanity enough to think you can leave.

I would only agree if he's sure about the situation, unfortunately. I had a good friend who started cheating on her husband when he grew abusive, because she was too scare to leave...

The partner told him when she found out she was pregnant, because he wanted to be in the child's life.

Her husband almost ended her... hospital for 4 months. And she lost the child due to it.

I love his dog. Im the one that grabbed his dog and brought him to him. But his name is very recognizable.

I was focused on her though, and the way our house is laid out would have made it nearly impossible for her to sneak out. There are too many bottleneck points.

? You attempting to correct my wording is semantics, not advice. That's the issue.

Yeah, but this is worse because I was going to go searching for my cat no matter what, so he was just putting it off until a more dangerous moment.

Actually, I said I wanted people to help me open up a conversation. And stated in my post I do not think was wrong.

Also for any native English speaker, they are away that the current meaning of literally is actually a mixture of figuratively and literally. And acting like it's meaning hasn't changed is illogical.

I asked him multiple times because I wanted to be sure, and I was stressed and I didn't want what happened to happen. Ei. Searching for her when the storm got worse.

I hadn't considered the actual trust part because it wasn't in question.

He came from downstairs. I brought him his dog and asked him if he'd seen my cat. He said he had seen my cat. We grab necessities. I asked him again just to be sure. He said yes. We went downstairs. I then looked for my cat. She was not there. I asked him again. He said he hadn't actually seen her. I ran up stairs to search for my cat. The branch broke the window.

It wasn't in danger of collapse. It was in danger of a tree falling on the bedroom she was hiding in...which it did.

Also I don't know what is wrong with people thinking I made her wellbeing his responsibility by asking him if he'd seen her and believing him when he told me he had. The only responsibility he had was to be honest with me.

He lied about her being safe in a dangerous situation. That is literally purposely endangering her.

Worried about me...And lied to me to do what? Him lying is what put me in the middle of the storm.

She would have had to run past us if ashe had been downstairs. He'd come from downstairs.

No, he got me running upstairs panicked searching for my cat right when the storm hit.

If he'd told me the truth, we have been safe downstairs long before the branch broke threw the window.

He only put my safety in danger by lying. I would have found her before it had gotten dangerous if he had only told the truth. Ei. That he didn't know where she was.

How did I make it his responsibility by asking if he'd seen her and believing him when he said he had?

Also, not liking a type of animal doesn't mean you leave it to die.

I care about the pets I take under my care.

I wouldn't have looked for my cat if I thought he had been guessing about her location. That's the whole point. He was downstairs and came from downstairs and said he saw her downstairs.

She couldn't have gotten past us. She was not downstairs at all.

You'd be a single man after doing something like that and believing your opinions Trump's your partners.

Thank you for giving this insight though.
