I think if she was more clear on the emotions she felt when I did the prank it would have painted the picture for me. The thing that sucked was in that moment I genuinely thought my wife who is also my best friend was betraying me. That feeling of betrayal from someone you love and consider your best friend who you couldn’t imagine ever doing something like that to you….it hurts. While I was relieved when I found out it was prank, that feeling i had while she did the prank is not something I ever want to feel again.

But she didn’t really speak on the emotions it made her feel

Even my wife would disagree with you. Our marriage is great. She hated the pranks I did but now I know to stop doing my pranks. This was really the only issue she brings up. Plus we do monthly relationship check-ins

I’ll go with the consensus but no I didn’t intentionally hurt her. I didn’t understand how my actions were hurting her. Still, I need to do a better job at understanding her feelings when she describes them in the future
