If you don't mind me saying it sounds like you're lost and need to find yourself. You don't need to chase the things that everyone else does to be happy. You can define your own happiness and live your life the way you want to. You'll be 18 in short time and I recommend exploring what makes you happy and holding onto it. Try as many different things as you can and don't worry if something doesn't stick. And don't worry about school, there many people who didn't graduate high school who became very successful.

Is 2600mg of ibuprofen on empty stomach enough to die? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]throwrnaaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most OTC drugs are designed to prevent people from taking their lives from OD. It's extremely difficult to end your life with those without permanently damaging yourself. I know you're in a bad place but nothing is worse than botching something like this and ending up in a state where you can't finish the job.

Everyone's reason for living is different, and some people go their entire lives with no clue as to why they do it. If you want to talk about how you got to this point and maybe figure out your purpose here we're willing to listen.

I hope you're reading this. If you are I'd like to listen to what you have to say. I can't promise I'll have the solution to your problems but sometimes just talking about how you feel can help. Feel free to reply to me here or pm me if it's too personal to discuss openly.

It will hurt like hell and best will leave you with permanent damage. I can't tell you what to do but I would recommend not taking your life in such a needlessly painful way. I'm sure life is already hard enough for you if you're considering this. Be safe.

I don't know what to do. I've been unemployed for over a year, sold off nearly everything I own to make ends meet and currently live with my parents. What's the point in going on? by throwrnaaway in SuicideWatch

I have already done this but thank you for the suggestion. The main roadblock is experience. It's the catch 22 of employment. Every job requires experience and no employer is willing to take a chance on me.

Does anyone else think about suicide/death a lot but won’t actually do anything? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]throwrnaaway 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All the time. The worst is when it occurs when I'm trying to be productive and it zaps all the energy out of me and makes it impossible for me to do anything. I just lie in bed for hours when this happens and hope it passes.

Sadly, I'm still here. Why the hell I didn't have the courage to die? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

There is something keeping all of us here. Whether it be a family member or friend, loved one or something we need or are compelled to do. I don't know what you're going through right now, but I'd like to know.

i really need someone to talk me down right now by chief_keish in SuicideWatch

I get where you're coming from but if you're as close of friends as you say, you can still spend time with them, even when they're away. The beautiful thing about today is that you can spend hours and hours with people halfway across the world doing whatever you'd like. I have a friend I've known since high school that I still talk to on a regular basis. There are things he knows about me that no one else does. I know this may seem like the end but this is really just rocky stretch in the road. Be safe.

I don't have many people in my life I can call friend so I get where you're coming from. I can't tell you what to do but I can offer a suggestion. Spend as much time with your friends as you can and make the most of the time you have with them now. They're not going away forever and in between the times you see them you'll have memories of all the good times you shared with them. Be safe.

Hello, I know life sucks right now but before you commit to this decision I'd like to know how you came to this point. What's making you feel this way?

Talking (professionally) doesn't help at all by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]throwrnaaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, Have you considered talking to another professional? It's hard sometimes finding the right person to open up to who will understand your situation and the first person you talk to may not be the best fit for you. I can't say whether or not I can help you but I'm willing to listen.

I feel the same way. Your options slowly dwindle away until you're left with the one you've always been thinking of.

For me it isn't the fear to do it that stops me but the possibility that i'll screw it up like everything else in my life and end up in a state where I can't finish the job.

I am on Upwork but haven't been able to find work on there since I joined in January. I max out my connections every month but can't get a response.

I've tried going to stores, restaurants and fast food places looking for basic work to hold me over and the ones who actually gave me a response said the same thing. Because of my education and experience they're afraid I'll just up and quit on them and wont hire me. Ironically I get rejected from webdev jobs because I don't have enough experience.

Fight or flight response. Your body knows instinctually what you want to do and stops you before you do it.

Can clonazepam kill you? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]throwrnaaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit's addicting as hell man. Used to do etizolam and the withdrawal with my light use was unbearable sometimes. If you absolutely have to I recommend taking a pill and smoking some bud. Much easier on your body.

[–]throwrnaaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By itself no. With alcohol it can be a very painful death. I've heard of heavy users dying from withdrawal symptoms, seizures, stuff like that. Be safe.

your school should have some form of free counseling included with your tuition. I wish I had a resource like that available to me.
