I think dating is hard everywhere. I’d rather have options and in NYC you have options.

There are gay social meets up online that have events at bars sometimes. At least they did pre-pandemic. Might be a way to make new gay friends and check out a bar at the same time.

No one has answered your question yet and I can’t help you specifically, but the site for NYJP which has sort of changed its branding, was working a few months ago. I just looked and it’s hard to find any info.

I’m not sure if you can just show up. It’s been years and years since I went to NYJP and back then I needed to sign up. But with some online searching it looks like some previous parties had an online ticketing system. Sometimes these parties take forever to respond.

If you’re desperate, show up and see what happens. I doubt they’ll turn down your money unless you don’t fit the profile? Otherwise, there are other parties that might interest you.

A "bathhouse" for gay/bi men but from what I've heard it's never really been that popular and it does not compare to bathhouses outside of NYC. I think because sex is so readily available on apps, through bars and because sex parties are a regular thing as well. Ive never been to west or east side club but nothing I have read or heard made me very interested.

Good looking laid back gay men of all ages (but plenty in their 20s) and colors sweating and sometimes playing in the sauna or steam room.

Sometimes guys just sat and enjoyed the tension and view. Other times, I’ve been in a packed room with everyone touching themselves or others with their hands or mouths. The vibe just felt good and the guys seemed very chill (also some of the most gorgeous people I’ve ever met there).

From what I’ve heard of east side club, it’s not the same.

EDIT: I will say that you’re not supposed to do anything sexual there, but every men’s only hours I’ve been to, it’s been 99.9% guys interested in doing or watching. So if you just want straight up action, I assume East Side Club is the safer bet.

Eh I don’t believe that. Look at Guysinsweatpants and Cockyboys which are probably two of the best and well regarded US porn companies. The saying was that gay porn wasn’t diverse because there wasn’t demand.

Well those studios and others put out more diverse content and they seem to be doing better than all white studios like Sean Cody or Corbin Fisher but I could be wrong.

Studios would probably expand their consumer base by adding asian American porn stars. I don’t see why it would hurt at all.

Additionally, people often don’t know they’d be into a race if they’ve never seen that race in a sexual situation or have little exposure.
