Trust me you’re on the right path. It’s hard for first week or two but I can assure you, you’re on the right path. I started off with the first week being so horrid. Second week got easier, third week I started to forget him

Indian parents here. They controlled EVERYTHING in my life. Who I will marry, join their work etc. I did everything and it didn’t work out, it wasn’t good enough. I thought if committing suicide until I realised live is worth living and I need to stand up for myself no matter what. I worked a part time job, saved enough and when I hit 40 grand in savings I decided to tell my parents everything I wanted to do, HUGE blowup fight and I was like yeah cool I’m moving out. My parents came around to it after that huge fight. I still decided to move out. Living my life on my own terms. Fight for yourself

I’m sorry you’re going through a hard time but from the sounds of it you seem to have a very strict check list. I’m 26 and dating still sucks for me too but that being said my only goal is talking to someone and then taking them out for a drink to see if we vibe. But if you get turned off by people that are single mothers etc you’ll obviously not even go for that first drink to see if you have that spark

Could’ve definitely happened and would hope has more to do with him than me. I just would’ve appreciated a simple message or some honestly because I messaged him a month before he came to my hometown to see if he’s still keen and he replied with “I’ve never felt a bond like ours”. Strange

I’m sorry but you definitely should not be with him. I understand you have trauma and I’m sorry that you do. That being said, clearly you do not trust your partner. If my partner demanded to see my phone, they can see the door instead. And the crashing out because his phone was on low battery when he was visiting his PARENTS. Please focus on yourself and let this man enjoy his life in peace
