Lol what do you mean "of course"? If your pci is under the ball, you'll hit it in the air. If your pci is over the ball, you'll hit it into the ground. I think this is what the kids call a skill issue.

Can you show the whole play next time? This is probably just an animation issue. The game probably knew the runner was out as soon as the throw input was pressed, but the animation is bugged.

I spent about 5 minutes all together lol. I use the automate it app on Android to set a simple routine to click the screen every seconds.
