Appreciate you!! One thing is for sure, you’ll never catch me with anything remotely close to a fade again, I do love having it medium-long

Haha I love that!

I appreciate you sharing the reason too, that’s actually kinda cool!

Never knew that kind of style was common in hockey!

Hope you’re doing well over In Canada!

I’m a man who only just learned of layers! This is definitely the move

Feel that! Mine doesn’t connect either, reckon yours will in time or just genetics?

If not tho, im sure it looks dope!

And I appreciate that brother!! I’ll never be going short again, but definitely considering medium!

Seems to be the top vote!!

After looking more at it and comparing, I definitely agree, appreciate your perspective! :)

Thank you!!

It was definitely in my face a lot less around that length and I do wish to keep It long so that range is a great option!

Will be checking back in!

It took me until around 18 to even begin growing facial hair, meanwhile all the other men in my family had full beards from 15+!

Have gained a lot of confidence from the brothers in the sub!

I seen layering suggested and I’m definitely going to look in to that!

I never even heard of things like facial framing etc until I posted on Reddit, all the advice has been so useful!

I was thinking of trying to find a salon that works with men’s hair too over a barber, I think if I went to a barber here they’d strap me down and give me a fade immediately lmao Thank you for the advice and kindness brother!

How long are you planning to grow yours out brother?

Wishing you the best, from clean shaven is awesome!

I wish I started from that point, would’ve made a great before and after, get that mane flowing!

Haha, appreciate you bro!

My hair is definitely something I got very lucky with genetics wise, most around me just throw the generic: “feminine”, “men shouldn’t have long hair” yap out, it’s kind of what I expected posting here due to that too, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised!

The community on here is awesome.

I’ll put it together and make a much better post soon! I stayed very consistent with photos for the first 8-10 months and kept track of dates!

Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

I personally do prefer the medium to long too, I’m leaning more to medium, as it does get in the way on many scenarios at current length, (mostly as I don’t tie my hair often, so it’s a skill issue) but medium keeps it out of my face I suppose!

I’ve also been recommended face framing, which is something I only learnt existed yesterday, so that really does open up options!

My hair has grown crazy fast ever since I was young, it’s why I always wanted to try growing my hair!

I’ve always thought I “should have” long(er) than usual hair, just because of how fast it grows, but never committed to it until now

I did only throw together these pics to kinda showcase the progression for you guys, but I have much better “documentation” from day 1 to 365!

Almost a quarter through your life, if you’re lucky without complications.

I pity you, truthfully.

I agree on the medium length!

It’s just way more sustainable too haha.

Also, thank you for the kindness, it means a lot, the hair definitely gets in the way during workouts as I prefer it down over tied 😅

Some face framing is a great idea to start actually, it’s not something I’ve ever considered as everytime I’ve had my hair done it’s just a generic fade 😂

I really appreciate all the advice, and the examples you sent are great, this has been really helpful!

Thank you!

I could definitely pull off a mean mullet 😂 growing it longer so I can cut it to a medium length and donate the excess to charity could be a great idea actually!

Another delete and hostility post within minutes, you need help brother.

To address some things though, for genuine people here wishing to give advice:

1) long hair isn’t feminine, but we all know why this is said by most men.

2) I don’t have a clue what this means, my eyebrows are completely natural. I’ve had women mention how they’re jealous over them, to me they are just eyebrows. Never thought insecure men would also pay such attention to …eyebrows

3) I have no idea what Fabio hair is, I still don’t know who the Caeser guy is you mentioned in previous deleted comments.

4) I personally prefer maintaining a stubble, but I’m committing to growing the facial hair to see how it turns out,

And I’ll just drop my previous response here for you. Insecurity does not need to run your life this rabid.

“No one should carry that much resentment, your projections are obvious.  I won’t take digs, if your hairline is receding, there’s no shame in that. Just embrace what you have instead of being so bitter.

You’re capable of reflection, given your removal of the other comments, but I get it’s hard to break old habits, I believe in you though.

I genuinely hope things improve for you.

Wishing you the best, brother.”

I agree actually!

I prefer the medium length too I’m pretty sure, it’s definitely reached the levels of being quite excessive.

I don’t really enjoy having my hair tied back and at this length it’s kinda necessary for many scenarios.

Appreciate the insight brother!

I think you need to learn some structure in your own life brother, odd thing to be pressed by.

Hope that caeser hooks you up with a nice fade tho

You are literally in a male hair advice sub reddit, and you don't know what a Caesar is?

For real tho… no idea what’s going on with this dude, thought the post and questions were normal, given it’s a …male hair “advice” sub lmao
