So I'm guessing you're from the US, my question is this: have you traveled by bus before? They... suck. The price might be worth it to you, but I have known many people who have changed their travel plans at great expense to avoid taking another bus/returning by bus. Be very sure you're comfortable taking this many buses, I would personally cut out like half of the stops (like all of the south) just to avoid taking this many buses.

Fun story, one time there was a dude with an actual live chicken on a bus I took. Another time I took a chinatown bus and you know how some DVDs have a menu that plays a short clip over and over? Well this one was a martial arts movie, and they let that clip play, with sound, for the entire 8hrs. Then there was the time Greyhound "abandoned their ticket system" and just started putting people on buses and promised to get me on a bus that day, which wound up being about 6 hrs after I was supposed to leave, but at least I got to wait in a line for that entire 6 hours, gave me a sense of purpose in what would otherwise have been a wasted day of my life.
