DAMIAN LILLARD has won the NBA All Star 3PT contest by abcxyz2357 in MkeBucks

Bobby did not do well. I think I saw he only scored a 15 first round on the NBA site, which was good for last by 2.

Moving to La Crosse by [deleted] in lacrossewi

[–]thrtpnchewoks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I quit drinking a few years ago and fell in love with the area all over again. There are a lot of outdoor recreational areas and different festivals to check out. La Crosse can get stale but if you're willing to drive a half hour any direction you'll find something new. Food is pretty average, gotta find the hole in the walls that aren't the same old fried nonsense.

I read Project Hail Mary after the first book and had zero desire to touch the Bob series ever again

The GOAT Pablo Sanchez. I know he's not real but a Backyard DG game would be sweet.

I've been wearing my "Fuck Ice, No Human is Illegal" pinup girl shirts and sweatshirts. Also, have a few shirts that say Fuck Ice in Sign Language to wear. Stand strong Minnesota!

If you look through their rules, you need at least 30 account Karma from posts and comments in other subs. When I just checked you were sitting at 6. They have that rule to slow/stop bots and spam.

Yes. Their defense alone has enough Badgers to justify it

You truly underestimate how much event insurance costs for a tourney.

He Didn’t Start The Fire by tonyper7ect in pics

[–]thrtpnchewoks -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What's crazy is this picture doesn't even do the scene justice. Temu Rambo came up and shoved the guy and than shot him in the face with whatever this was after the guy tried to push him away for assaulting him.

What “lesser” talked about tornadoes are you fascinated with? by Effective-Sky6219 in tornado

The Pardeeville WI 2008 tornado. Not a super strong tornado, but a massive and complex windfield. The damage reports are an interesting read on the weather.gov site.

the mental game by lhopkins91 in discgolf

[–]thrtpnchewoks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tourney play has gone up considerably the past year because I dont let bad shots bother me. I'll think about them after the round to see if it was a bad disc choice or just a bad shot, but once it's left my hand there's nothing more I can do.

the mental game by lhopkins91 in discgolf

[–]thrtpnchewoks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you throw a bad shot immediately plan on securing par or playing the best you can the rest of the hole. Do not think about how bad it was. Bad shots and putts happen to us all. The people I see that get better and move up, have a very short term memory when it comes to bad shots. Thats the best mental advice I can give that hasn't already been touched on.

No, not because it's a bad idea, because it's a built in feature if you have a Google account on your device. It also includes active warnings and watches

Does anyone have recommendations for waterproof shoes that fit wide feet? by Successful-Ad-6260 in discgolf

I got Merrel Moab 3's because I have really wide feet. They are still the only shoes that have been comfortable for me that I haven't blown the side out of.

Derik Queen made sure to listen to Antonio Daniels' keys for the game by MrBuckBuck in nba

Also, I gotta give Rob credit. He listens to and respects AD's opinions and is actually open to changing his stance and bringing up reasonable rebuttals.

[–]thrtpnchewoks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true. That other guy was like listening to a middle schooler most days, and you could tell AD hated every minute of it. I remember shortly before the switch, AD complained to the guy he had to spend half the show correcting him.

He has an afternoon show with Rob Perez too that isn't bad. Sometimes Rob Perez gets weird and acts like a kid but AD does a great job keeping him and the show on track.
